Ch .3 'You'

The day before Christmas break..........in front of Mason High


Haru and the gang were holding a conversation in from of the fountain, they were all talking about their plans for the break and were making plans with others to ensure that this was "the best break they ever had!" as Jenny had phrased it

"So where did Sky go off to?" Haru asked curiously "did she get lost?"

"No." Jenny laughed a bit "she got asked on a date today by this kid in her Chemistry class, his name was something geeky, wasn't it Spacer? or something?"

Haru shrugged but felt happy for Sky "So what are your plans for the break Alex?" he asked "You could hang with us"

"Nahhhhh" Alex politely refused "I have other places to go and people to see."  He laughed

"I'll go with ya then!" Haru said "I love to meet new people!"

"You wouldn't understand what i mean" Alex said, noticing jenny tug at Haru's arm

"But Haruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!" Jenny said "its Friday remember?"

"OH YEAH!" Haru face palmed and remembered "I forgot Jenny I'm sorry."

"Might I ask why Friday is important?" Alex said curiously"is this one of those TGIF jokes?"

"No it's a tradition Jenny and I started like 2 years ago" Haru started but was cut off by Jenny

"It's movie/video game/pizza night!" Jenny said happily "every Friday i go over to Haru's house and we stay up all night and eat pizza and play games and eat pizza and drink a whole bunch of soda!" she was smiling as she pulled out a bunch of Xbox 360 games  "I came prepared!"

"It's fun" Haru said "If you ever get back from visiting who you want to visit then you should drop by, maybe bring a friend or 2." he put a spare house key in Alex's hand

"Did i mention we eat pizza?" Jenny said again "Lots of it?"

"I might just do that..." Alex smiled and walked off

"C'mon Jenny lets go" Haru waved  goodbye at Alex and he and Jenny started walking down the street to his house. Jenny staring at him the whole time

"You ok?" he asked her "something bothering you?"

she blushed and looked at the sidewalk "I'm fine" she said and looked away

"cheer up" he said "First we're gonna walk home, then we're gonna play some Left 4 Dead 2, and then there will be cake"

"The cake is a lie" Jenny responded with a laugh

"Not today" Haru said "Happy Birthday Jenny" He smiled

She teared up for a second "You remembered!" she hugged him "not even my parents remembered....."

He poked her "tag! You're it!" and ran for his house as fast as he could

Jenny blushed again and ran after him "If there was any present I'd want the most" she murmured.................her smile slowly fading "It would be to take HER place................in your heart...................."
